The holidays are upon us! You'll be dripping with Sexie appeal when you let your Mesmerizing Mushroom Gravy flow all over your Well-Endowed Wellington this season.
Mesmerizing Mushroom Gravy
1/4 cup olive oil
1 small onion minced
8oz mushrooms minced
3 cloves garlic minced
2.5 cups vegetable stock
1 tbsp soy sauce (Bragg's is gluten-free and filled with nutrients)
1/4 cup flour
1 tbsp poultry seasoning (Or make your own: Chicken seasonings)
salt & pepper to taste
Lube up a pan with olive oil and heat it on medium heat. Add your minced onions and let them cook till they are soft and translucent. (About 5 minutes) Then add your minced mushrooms and garlic and let them get all sweaty together for another couple minutes.
Shower them with vegetable stock and soy sauce and lower your heat. Then slowly add the flour while you whisk it in to prevent any lumps from forming. Add your poultry seasoning and let the gravy bubble and get thick. Give it a taste. Sprinkle in salt and pepper as needed. Once you feel it is well seasoned get out your Well-Endowed Wellington and let the Sexie mesmerizing begin!
*A quick word about salt: Your veggie stock and poultry seasoning may already contain salt. Soy sauce definitely has a high amount of sodium. So really taste your gravy to make sure you aren't over-salting it at the end. Enjoy!
